KONSTRUNDAN 3–4.9.2022
This year, Konstrundan kicks off during the first weekend in September. The participants will keep their studios open between 11-17. Konstrundan is free for both participants and visitors. Thanks to more efficient marketing, and also to all previous participants who help spread the word, Konstrundan received plenty of applications. In this year's Konstrundan, there are almost 450 participants.
Please find this year's participants in in the following list [PDF]. The participant presentations will be published on www.konstrunda.fi in May.
We are pleased and honoured to announce that Jenni Haukio, wife of the President of the Republic, is the patron of Konstrundan 2022.
Konstrundan’s aim is to increase the understanding of domestic contemporary art, arts and crafts and design. Konstrundan supports participants in their professional practice and creates new sales opportunities as well as a network that they can use in their future work.
"This year, Konstrundan celebrates fifteen years, and since the start the event has grown from being arranged only in a handful of places with about 100 participants to a large nationwide event with nearly 500 participants and over 20,000 visitors" says Project Manager Martina Lindberg. “The participants really appreciate meeting all the visitors, as well as the opportunities for networking that the event brings. We want to continue to develop our absolutely fantastic concept.”
KONSTRUNDAN NEWSPAPER
This year, our newspaper will be published in June with a circulation of about 120,000 copies. The newspaper presents this year's participants, interviews with participants and information about Art Friday and Konstrundan’s Art Raffle.
ART FRIDAY
This year, Art Friday 2.9 is organized according to the same concept as last year. A film is made where an artist introduces herself / himself / themself and her / his /their artistic technique, and then gives the children a fun art pedagogical task to complete. The film and task description are sent to all primary and lower secondary schools in Finland. The film is in Swedish and dubbed into Finnish and English.
This year’s task will be launched on 2.9 on Facebook and www.konstrundan.fi. Teachers and parents are encouraged to send photos of the results to Konstrundan so that we can present them on our social media!
