Welcome to Konstrundan! On this page, you will find everything you need to know ahead of the event: what Konstrundan offers you, what is expected of you, and which key dates to keep in mind. The same information is also available in the guide you got via email.
If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact your regional contact person, the secretary, or the project manager – their contact details can be found here.
Konstrundan 2025 takes place
6-7.9.2025
Konstrundan is a well-established event that has been held annually in Finland since 2008. Professional artists, craftspeople, and designers from across the country are invited to participate.
This year, Konstrundan takes place on the weekend of 6–7 September 2025, when participants open their studios to the public from 11 am to 17 pm.
The purpose of Konstrundan is to increase awareness of contemporary art, craft, and design in Finland, and to support creative work by facilitating meetings between the public and creative professionals.
As a participant, you receive support in your professional artistic practice, gain access to new sales opportunities, and become part of a network that may benefit you in your future work.
The event is organised by Kulturföreningen Grand rf.
In recent years, we’ve arranged regional material distribution meetings – and this year is no exception! These meetings will be held during weeks 24 and 25 (the second and third weeks of June), primarily to hand out Konstrundan’s printed marketing materials.
If you’re unable to attend in person, your regional contact will reach out to make other arrangements for you to receive your materials.
The times and locations of the meetings will be published here once confirmed.
We will also arrange digital info meetings on Monday 9 June via Google Meet, so everyone has a chance to participate, regardless of location:
The meeting link will be sent out in May.
As a participant, you are an important part of Konstrundan’s visibility. You will receive marketing materials to distribute and put up in your local area. Materials are distributed regionally in June or sent by post if you can’t attend the meeting.
Konstrundan magazine is our biggest marketing channel. As a participant, you’ll receive a bundle of copies to hand out in your community and to your network.
The print run is approximately 115,000 copies. The newspaper is published in June and distributed to tourist offices, libraries, and other public locations. At the end of August, it is also distributed with Finland-Swedish daily newspapers.
Posters are printed in A4, A3, and A2 formats. The larger posters have space where you can write your address or programme details for the Konstrundan weekend. The smaller poster contains general information.
You will receive postcards to send or distribute before the event. Feel free to add a personal greeting and distribute them in local mailboxes or send them to your network.
For the fourth year in a row, we are printing outdoors signs. If you received signs last year, you are welcome to reuse them – the material is weatherproof and the design is timeless.
The new signs have holes in the corners for easy mounting. Feel free to be creative in how you display them!
Konstrundan sends out a few press releases each year. Journalists may occasionally reach out to individual participants, but you are also encouraged to forward press releases to your local media and personal networks.
Follow, like, and share Konstrundan’s posts on Facebook and Instagram.

You are welcome to create your own Facebook events in your region and update local event calendars. Materials such as Facebook banners and images will soon be available in the media bank on Konstrundan’s website and Google Drive.
Let us know at konstrundan.helsingfors@gmail.com if you’re planning an opening or any other event. We’re happy to share the information through Konstrundan’s channels.
On the Friday before Konstrundan, 5 September, some participants open their doors to group visits – such as preschool groups, school classes, or associations.
Those who are available for group visits indicated this in their application. Groups will contact participants directly to arrange a visit.
A PDF list of participants who welcome groups will be published on our website in spring.
During Konstrundan, we organise an Art Raffle, with prizes consisting of works and products made by participating artists. Konstrundan purchases these from selected participants, and eight prizes are chosen from across the country. Winners will be drawn in early October.
Your task is to keep the raffle poster clearly visible and encourage visitors to participate. The prizes are shown on a separate poster and on the back cover of the newspaper.
The lottery is free of charge for visitors, and they enter digitally.
This year we are organising Konstens fredag (Art Friday) in the same format as last year. A video will be produced featuring an artist presenting themselves, followed by an art-related assignment for children.
The video will be sent to all primary schools in Finland. It will be recorded in Finnish and dubbed into both Swedish and English. The assignment will be launched in the autumn via Facebook and konstrundan.fi.
Please help spread the word about Konstens fredag – especially if you have contacts among primary school teachers!
This is the eighteenth edition of Konstrundan.
Let’s work together to make Konstrundan 2025
a memorable and inspiring event!
Each year, Konstrundan invites a graphic designer to create the visual identity of the event – the colours, shapes, and illustrations that define all our communication. This year, the entire visual concept is created by Sara Östman.
The 2025 illustration is made using oil pastels and digital drawing. The motif features vibrant colour fields and a grid-like pattern, reminiscent of slightly open doors or a game board filled with artistic encounters. The colours and shapes symbolise the unexpected, the open, and the diversity that Konstrundan has to offer.
Sara is an illustrator and graphic designer, originally from Nykarleby and now based in Helsinki. She enjoys mixing digital and hand-drawn elements in her work and has illustrated for magazines and designed book covers.
This page will be updated along the way, so check back in. Meanwhile, for answers to any questions at this stage, check out our FAQ for participants and visitors, About Konstrundan or you can contact us directly!
