Information about the artist / the group

I am working as a potter with woodfired stoneware pottery and as a pottery-teacher at our civic institute here in Pargas. With the Department of Inorganic Chemistry at Åbo Akademi I also conduct and participate in an interdisciplinary project dealing with woodfired ceramics, high-temperature chemistry and geology. I am doing research on the use of naturally occurring materials and rocks as ingredients for high-fired glazes. As a member of the regional guilde of potters (Turunmaan Keraamikkojen Kilta) I am promoting the knowledge of ceramics and especially woodfired pottery and co-operating actively with colleages from near and afar.

Driving directions

Turn from Skärgårdsvägen to Skolgatan and turn left at the second street-corner. Park your car on the parkinglot of PIUG. On your right there is a terraced house. My workshop is at the other end of the house on the garden-side.
