Information about the artist / the group

I am painter and visual artist. I´m Inspired by the traces of human life in cultural environment, ´genius loci´, and Grand Tour. During the last 30 years I have mostly painted with oil on linen and mixed media on paper. The material is essential to me and I use historical painting methods. In Konstrundan I have an exhibition in Alppigalleria with Petra Giacomelli.
You can buy books of my art: Roihupelto – Pompeii (PARVS, 2023), Grand Tour (2014) and Helsinki in Florence, Florence in Helsinki (2003). I have an ordinary membership in Finnish Painters´ Union and I am also member in Helsinki Artists' Association. My paintings are presented in the collections of the City of Helsinki, Lahti Museum of Art as well as Kuntsi Art Museum and in numerous international private collections.
