Information about the artist / the group

Education: Master of Arts, 1991, University of Art and Design Helsinki (now Aalto University). I began my career as a theatre costume designer, worked as an event producer, continued as a Senior Lecturer in Cultural Management (Metropolia University of Applied Sciences), and ten years ago I rediscovered myself through visual arts in Scotland.
Through the stories in my paintings, I build a world that could exist in another dimension. The final outcome emerges intuitively, without a precise plan in advance. A painting might begin with an okapi stretching its head towards a sleeping mermaid and wondering: What do mermaids dream about? Do mermaids dream of strawberries?
