Born in 1978 in Nykarleby. Ann-Sofie Eriksson has been working as an artist since 2003, when she earned a degree in visual arts. In Ostrobothnia, her art can be found in various public spaces in the form of sculptures, paintings, and murals. In addition to her own exhibitions in Finland, she has participated in group exhibitions across Europe. She frequently goes on watercolor trips to find new inspiration and learn new watercolor techniques. The inspiration and driving force behind her work come from the surrounding reality—both the physical and the quantum. She paints and creates in various media, but watercolor has become her favorite, as it is a living medium where one cannot predict everything in advance. She paints with pure joy and does so almost daily.
