Information about the artist / the group

I am an Ålandic children’s book illustrator, artist, and tattooist based in Sweden, working with a visual world where fantastical figures and animal hybrids move between the playful and the mysterious. My artistic practice centers on transformation and movement, both within the narratives of my motifs and in how images change when they leave the paper and take on new bodies through different materials and formats. I work primarily with drawing on paper and skin, while also enjoying experimenting with other materials.

Fauna Mirabilis is presented at the Nordic Gallery (Nordens Institut på Åland) and features illustration and painting from my visual world, inhabited by fantastical figures and curious animals. Playful stories meet dreamlike landscapes, where images grow in scale and material and take shape as larger works in the space. The exhibition invites visitors of all ages into a world to explore. Art prints and illustrated books are available for purchase.
