Information about the artist / the group

Ryszard Zan was born in Warsaw in 1952. After attending technical
high school, he studied philosophy in Warsaw and Paris.

In 1983, he moved to Germany. While working as a
technician in Cologne, he attended numerous training courses in
drawing, painting and sculpture. During this time, he
began creating small-format watercolours and drawings.

From 2007 to 2011, he studied sculpture and painting part-time
at the Alanus Werkhaus in Alfter near Bonn. In 2012, he continued his studies
with master's courses.
Numerous exhibitions in Cologne, and in Königswinter in 2023.
Exhibition in Villa Suruton, Savonlinna, in 2025
Member of Ars Nova since 2025

Ryszard Zan lives in Savonlinna, Finland.

Program during Konstrundan

My spacious studio is open to the public, where you can view my work and explore various techniques: drawings, paintings, sketches, and large-format pieces. Sculptures are located in the woodland garden surrounding the studio. Some of the works are available for purchase.

The studio is situated by a tranquil lake. Visitors are welcome to relax and enjoy refreshments.

Driving directions

The studio is situated in the woods and can be reached on foot via a forest path (450 metres). Cars can be parked on the country road. We recommend that visitors with mobility difficulties contact us by telephone: 0468 46 1059.
