Information about the artist / the group

I am Hanna Hirvonen, a metal craftsman and a metalsmith graduating in the fall of 2026. Changing fields led me to explore my own creativity and I am now on this fascinating journey. During my studies, I fell in love with steel and its shaping, especially by forging. Plant motifs and sensitivity are often visible in my art, but I also like the playful and wild creative side of me, which I like to bring out through my works. When creating, I recognize my own boundaries and those set by steel. For me, art is created intuitively and often also in some kind of flow or guidance, where joy, passion, trust, presence and love are strongly present.

A work is almost always completed through me with a story that is part of spiritual growth and my earthly journey.

At the Fiskars Ironworks Forge, Takopaja, you can get to know the artist, the blacksmith's workshop and the work of a blacksmith, such as forging and products forged in the forge, handicrafts and art.
