Information about the artist / the group

I am Uliana Novak, a self-taught artist of Russian origin based in Finland. I have a solid background in Sociology and research, but in 2020, I began painting for the very first time. What started as a once-a-week hobby turned into a new way to share my thoughts about myself and the world around me. In 2022, I secluded myself in the studio I rented at Lapinlahden Lähde and spent about 3 years primarily painting and expanding my body of work.
Since then, I have created several series of painting, got several publications, awards, and participated in both online and offline group exhibitions. I was selected as Winner #1 Top 100 Emerging Artists-2025 hosted by Arts to Hearts Project. My first solo exhibition was in Helsinki in October 2025.
