When I realise how meaningful it is to live and how great a gift life is, an image often appears before my eyes. The works that mean the most to me are based on such moments of gratitude and great, silent joy.

I am one of the very few Finnish printmakers who have focused on the monotype technique in their work. The use of words as part of the works has always been an important part of my expression. The titles of the works are often long, and sometimes consist of several sentences. My aim is that when entering the exhibition the viewer has room to breathe and a momentary experience of freedom.

I'll be in my studio on the fourth floor of Hub Feenix.

Hub Feenix's café is open and serves coffee, tea and refreshments, as well as savoury and sweet treats.

Hub Feenix is ​​a non-profit arts and wellbeing centre that was founded in the premises of the historic Meltola tuberculosis sanatorium 6 years ago. If you want to see and hear how the building has got a new life, you're welcome to join a guided tour. Tours will leave from the lobby in front of the elevator at 12 and 15 on both days.
