Information about the artist / the group

Visual artist and visual arts educator, D.A

For me, painting is a way of understanding and analysing what happens around me through visual means. I examine the world from different perspectives: in relation to the global situation, religions and philosophies, or in relation to the everyday life encountered and experienced by an individual.
I think of my working process as an everyday horizon into which experiences, observations and the coincidences of daily life are imprinted and stored. Any point on the horizon is worthy of examination.

My works are formed through layers, using oil color, tempera, acrylic, beeswax, ink, charcoal and pencil. Through these methods, images, colors, figures and texts are recorded onto the surface in layers. Time and place, fact and memory become intertwined
