Painting, Spatial art
My artistic practice explores the relationships between humanity, nature, gender, and embodiment in contemporary culture. My work draws from Finnish folk tradition, mythology, and contemporary visual language, combining painting, drawing, installation, and mixed media. At its core are themes of life force, protection, and liminal symbolism—the in-between space that in folk belief functioned as a ritual source of knowledge and agency. I examine how this symbolism continues to live on in cultural memory and practice.
The studio doors are open. The Kulttuurikonttori shop will be open throughout the day, and refreshments are available at the pop-up café.
