Information about the artist / the group

I am a textile artist and craftsman from North Karelia. I mainly work with textile materials and weaving. I use craft-based methods in my art, such as spinning, weaving and embroidery. I also make materials myself, such as yarns by spinning wool from my own sheep and flax grown by myself. In my work, I strive to use sustainable, self-sufficient ways of creating art. The nature and rural area surrounding my studio also serve as inspiration and a source of ideas for my artistic expression.

Program during Konstrundan

In my log studio you can get to know my work with looms and spinning. I will present different techniques and give a spinning demonstration. I will also talk about my linen project that I am currently working on.
