Information about the artist / the group

I started my artistic development as a graphic designer at Leningrad Jazz Club “Kvadrat” in the mid 80s. Due to the nature of this work, I studied the relation between composition in music and in visual arts.
Now I use traditional materials - oil on canvas. My mostly abstract works are full of energy and resemble surrealism. They carry musical vibrations, and mostly follow the rules I wrote for my students - "How to paint good abstract art".
I also work on kinetic sculptures on the edge of sound art.

I am always happy to show my humble collection of older and more recent paintings. We discuss the "How to paint good abstract art" rules. We listen to music generated from images. Please reserve one hour for the visit.
