Bags Born on the Ocean - Crafted From Recycled Sailcloth.

The idea was born in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. A few years ago, I was competing in a transatlantic rowing race. During the 41 day journey from La Gomera to Antigua, I was struck by the heartbreaking amount of debris drifting across the ocean —waste dumped by us humans.

The first Beyond Bags came out of old dinghy sails I had lying around. I looked at them and wondered: What story could they tell next? Turning them into bags felt natural—recycled, purposeful, and full of character.
I’m an artist who creates one of a kind bags. They have texture, personality, a bit of roughness—small marks of a life already lived. And that’s what makes them special.

Program during Konstrundan

During Konstrundan, you are warmly welcome to visit my studio. I will be sewing bags throughout the days. We can talk about different materials, details, and designs. I can also make custom bags if you have specific wishes regarding size, colors, or sail material. Or simply stop by for a chat about sails and bags!
During Konstrundan, I’m also happy to receive old sails. I recycle them and give them a new life as bags.
Finished bags are also available for purchase.
