Information about the artist / the group

My art emerges at the edges of everyday life and on the terms of the process itself. I work in a material-driven and experimental way, often with recycled and modest tools. I am drawn to incompleteness, permissiveness, and to the way a piece can build slowly, layer by layer, leaving room for insight. My artistic thinking has been shaped by teaching weaving as well as by long experience in various creative and wellbeing-oriented facilitation roles. The rhythm, repetition, and patience inherent in weaving are reflected in my way of allowing works to grow one element at a time. Training as an expressive art therapy facilitator has deepened my relationship with the emergence of the image. For me, art is not primarily about representation, but about exploration and creating connections.
