Painting
I am a watercolor artist from Vaasa. I completed my art education at the University of Art and Design in 1989-1991 and have participated in numerous domestic and international art courses in Sweden, Denmark, and France. I have worked in the field for almost 40 years and have been a professional artist for the last 25 years. My watercolour technique is based on
"wet-on-wet" . My imagination makes the plants spin a thread of happiness. Playing in the same cycle of nature light has its own fascinating play with colors. Several works approach abstract expression. Some works are painterly, elaborately worked and all the work is done with wet technique. I have held more than 75 solo exhibitions and participated in about 150 group and joint exhibitions.
The Theme of the days are "There is the magic of a fairly tale in the forest". At the event I present watercolour art "How I Paint" and
talk extensively about my sources on inspiration and working methods. I also talk about my artistic achievements and present my
recent works. Through these events I increase and deepen the awareness of watercolour art to the public in Vaasa and throughout
the region.
The entrance to studio Rantalinna is at the north end of the building (Vaasapuistikko side end).
My studio is located on the second floor. There is no elevator in the building.
