Information about the artist / the group

I am ceramist Merja Pohjonen and I have worked as a ceramic teacher and teacher of arts more than 40 years in Kokkolan seudun opisto and the School of arts for children in Kokkola. I have a workshop of my own and a home in Vitsari since 2009. I use different kinds of clays as my material when I make my ceramics and arts.

Program during Konstrundan

During the Konstrundan weekend, I will be presenting my studio and finished works in my gallery. Weather permitting, I will fire an ancient pit kiln in my yard. My goal is to open the kiln on Sunday during Konstrundan.
