Tero Annanolli (b. 1975) is a painter and art educator based in Sipoo, Finland (Master of Arts, 2004). In his works, the present and the past intersect: flowers, birds, human figures and mythic layers are constructed through a sensitive yet powerful line, and through the reflections of light and gold leaf. Annanolli is also known for participatory portraits and for reinterpreting previously used textiles and Old Master techniques. His layered surfaces emerge from the dialogue between acrylic, oil, ink and textured grounds. He has exhibited in Finland and internationally, received a gold medal in London in 2012, and works at the Art Annanolli Academy in Sipoo.
