Ilkka Kärkkäinen is a graphic designer with a long career who has focused on creating his own graphic art for the last 5 years at the Vallila Artists' House. Ilkka's working methods are analog, slow and experimental. He applies old printing techniques, laser cutting and polymer engraving in his works. The works are printed on old letterpress presses from the 70s.

Program during Konstrundan

Graphic designer Ilkka Kärkkäinen will introduce the so_helsinki studio and old letterpress equipment, wooden and metal fonts, and how to use them. There will also be many graphic arts and proofs, posters, notepads, etc. by various artists on display and for sale.
