Information about the artist / the group

I am a visual artist who trained as a painter in Helsinki and London. In 2003 I was selected as the Young Artist of the Year in Finland. My studio in Kakskerta is a house by the sea, that I recently inherited from my parents. There you can see my paintings made in a variety of techniques over the decades, as well as new sculptures that are being completed for my solo exhibitions in October.

Program during Konstrundan

In addition to my works you can see my working methods and materials, some of which you are welcome to try out. During the visit you are also welcome to explore the surrounding land with forest, rocks, meadows, reeds and the sea. Around the land there are also traces of old bricks produced there pre-1850s.

Driving directions

The studio is located 300m from the main road at the end of a private drive, and will be marked with a sign. There is parking spaces at the destination for about six cars. By public transport; come by bus 25A from the center of Turku, and get off at the Kesäniementie stop. You can also arrive by sea with a shallow-bottomed boat! Sandy beach, several mooring places.
