Information about the artist / the group

I am a Japanese artist, living and working in Helsinki, Finland. My artworks are animal sculptures described “Cute, innocent and humorous”. In my artworks Finland meets Japan and Japan meets Finland. Both Finnish and Japanese cultures gave me my artistic expression technically and conceptually. Finnish painter Katja Tukiainen had an influence on my art with her expression of cuteness and positive energy. And Finnish sculptor Kim Simonsson inspired me with innocence of cartoonish sculpture. At the same time "Neo-pop art" represented by Japanese painter Yoshitomo Nara and Japanese culture Manga & Anime have had an influence on my art language. I have had solo and group art exhibitions and have made public art in public places since 2012.

Program during Konstrundan

I show animal wood sculptures, animal ceramic sculptures, and glass sculptures in my art studio.
