Information about the artist / the group

I am an artist and craftsman mainly working with sculpting and carving sword-like objects in fresh wood. For me, the design language of melee weapons is very fascinating - not least the unimaginable width and variety seen across all cultures and historical eras. I'm also interested in exploring how much you can change the shape of a given object before it becomes interpreted as something other.

Program during Konstrundan

Come visit me in my studio and workshop in eastern Mariehamn! I am happy to talk about my working methods, choice of materials, sources of inspiration and the thoughts behind finished and half-finished works. The programme will be fairly fluid and adapted to the needs and wishes of individual visitors.

Driving directions

Drive east from Rökerirondellen, turn left onto Örtvägen. A couple of hundred meters up and then another left turn into Klövergränd. The studio is located in the basement of the first house on the right, a brick house with solar panels on the roof.
