Information about the artist / the group

I’m a visual artist and an art educator. I live in Kontioniemi which is located in Kontiolahti, North Karelia. I make art in various methods. Including three dimensional elements and space my art work is often installations. Also drawing and printmaking have always been part of my expression. I have worked in many community and environmental art projects. I think it is important that art can be part of our everyday life and different communities can be actively involved.

Program during Konstrundan

My studio is located near to my home, by the Lake Höytiäinen. Studio is situated in a historical building that is part of the former Kontioniemi tuberculosis sanatorium courtyard area.

During the Konstrundan weekend I will show my art and You will also see the equipment for making art in my studio. I will tell You about different kind of processes of making art, for example making a plaster mold and a ceramic sculpture, or making a plate for printing and about the printing process.
