armo Vellonen
Sculptor Jarmo Vellonen (1958) lives and works in Porvoo, Finland. He graduated from the Sculpture Department of the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts in 1983.
Jarmo Vellonen has participated in exhibitions in Finland and internationally since 1979. Vellonen's works are in several collections, including the collections of the Finnish State and the City of Helsinki, as well as the collections of Sandviken in Sweden and the municipality of Nanto in Italy.
Vellonen uses several materials and techniques in his sculptures.
Installations, video and land art have been part of his art from the beginning. In 2020, Vellonen began a long-term artistic work in the forest, where he creates sculptures on tree trunks from natural clay and snow.
