Information about the artist / the group

I am a visual artist based in Helsinki, holding a Master of Arts from the University of Art and Design Helsinki, with a background in film costume design and teaching costume design. My art centers on the feminine portrait, alternating between emotional realism and abstracted expression. I explore how visual elements shape identity in these contrasting approaches. The edge of the painting is also an active element in my works – it suggests a continuation beyond the canvas or serves as a physical frame integrated into the artwork. I primarily work in acrylics. The themes of my recent paintings arise from my memories, observations, and experiences within a multicultural family.

Program during Konstrundan

During Konstrundan, you can buy artwork, order artwork and also get to know other artists in my studio. At the same time, Meilahti Tilajakamo will also have open doors and visitors have the opportunity see works and studios of artists from different fields.

Driving directions

Meilahti Tilajakamo is located in the former nursing school at Tukholmankatu 10. The Stogis - Pieni Aulagalleria is also located in the building’s lobby. The building does not have its own parking lot or visitor parking spaces—please use public transportation! Buses 25, 20, 30, 500, and 510 serve the area. Trams 4 and 7 also stop here. Check the updated information in the HSL route guide! Accessibility assistance: There is a curb in front of the main entrance, and there are thresholds at the door and in the vestibule; assistance is needed to open the door. There is a no-stopping zone in front of the main entrance, but you may stop at the courtyard path along the side of the building. Otherwise, the lobby is accessible, and there is an accessible restroom on the premises. You can use the elevator to move between floors in the building.
