Painting, Perfomance, Visual arts
Emmi is a Helsinki-based (b. 1988) visual artist who primarily works with painting.
At the core of her paintings is the combination of three-dimensional, strong textured surfaces, and a monochromatic palette — rawness and softness together.
She also enjoys combining different art forms, such as poetry, painting, and video together.
The core of her artistic practice is to tell stories about life and the full spectrum of being human — softness, rawness, and the beauty that exists in both.
During Konstrundan, you can explore Emmi’s studio, artworks, artistic practice, and follow live painting session.
Live painting: 5–6 September at 2 PM (approx. 20 min)
The studio is located at Pälkäneentie 13 B. Entrance B is in the building’s courtyard, near Ääniwalli. Walk up the stairs to the second floor and turn right through the doors into the hallway; the studio is on your left.
