I am a long-time visual artist and craftsman. I paint with different techniques, I have also made graphics and photographs, and I love installations. My exhibition activities have been lively both in Finland and around the world. I am at home in my own studio and can peacefully focus on my work, which also involves a lot of practical tasks. The chaos is quite intense when it comes to things like packing and sending the works around the world. My studio is also a place to showcase my works and a permanent exhibition, where I am happy to talk about my work and its challenges. Konstrundan has been a really interesting event, where a lot of people have visited my studio from near and far. The best part has been the amazing discussions and encounters between both visual arts and other cultures.

Program during Konstrundan

Konstrundan itself already offers an opportunity for people interested in art to meet and interact. Meeting an artist in their studio opens up a concrete world behind the curtain for many. What is an artist's work really like? It also helps to understand the challenges that the work sometimes brings. I also aim to present a cross-artistic program at the studio, such as music, poems and the opportunity to paint a piece for yourself under the guidance of the artist.
