Information about the artist / the group

Milla Vainio graduated with a Master of Arts in 2024 from Aalto University’s Contemporary Design programme. She works primarily with ceramic- and glass art, often combining diverse methods and elements from both art and design in her practice.
Vainio’s approach is strongly material-driven. In her ceramic sculptures, she primarily employs hand-building techniques, while in artprintmaking she works with silkscreen/serigraphy. Since 2021, she has explored the artistic possibilities of colored clays in her ceramic works.
Her work has been exhibited in Finland as well as internationally, including in Germany and Japan.

During Konstrundan, visitors are invited to a studio presentation and a small exhibition.
