Information about the artist / the group

I have been an active visual artist for the last 13 years. Until 2025, in the Aittakallio studio in Perttula, from January 2026 in the protected building of the old yeastfactory in Rajamäki. The spacious studio has a ceramics studio and facilities for large-scale paintings. I make all my ceramic objects by hand, looking for motifs from antiquity and old cultures. I also use raku, saggar and pit firing. The themes of my oil and acrylic paintings are nature and emotions. The large collages are abstract stream of consciousness. Together with the guidance of my sculptor husband Raimo Jaatinen and my son sculptor Jussi Hautaniemi, I have also recently made bronze sculptures.
