Information about the artist / the group

I am a visual artist and an art teacher. Alongside my teaching, I create my own art in a small, homely studio in my yard, surrounded by nature. I work simultaneously on multiple levels, both technically and conceptually. I combine different techniques and themes; for example, history may merge with the present, and painting with photography. I also use natural materials in my works.
I primarily paint by combining cold wax with oil paints. It is an ancient technique that is less widely known today. For me, art is a way of exploring and articulating the relationship between the inner and outer worlds. The uniqueness and sensitivity of nature are my greatest sources of inspiration.

Program during Konstrundan

I will open my home studio and its surroundings to the public during Konstrundan. Paintings in progress will be on display, and I am happy to talk about my working process and the painting techniques I use. Small artworks and cards will also be available for purchase. In the atrium-yard of the 1950s summer villa next to the studio building, there will be a small art exhibition and a café.
