Information about the artist / the group

I was born in Tervola, on the banks of the Kemijoki River, and studied in Kuopio and Helsinki. I have worked as an art teacher in Northern Ostrobothnia and for the last twenty years I have lived in Oulu, working as a visual artist. Konstrundan features some of my older paintings and the most recent works from the Botanicani series, which includes, among others, an installation of my collected plants and their parts. My style is recognizable by its lively lines, rich use of colors and sprawling forms of expression, which include, among others, crocheting and paper design. My works are for sale.

Program during Konstrundan

During Konstrundan I show my works in the studio and lobby. The tools and models I use are also on display. I will tell visitors about my working methods, the techniques I use, my upcoming exhibitions and workshops, depending on their interest.
