I am Malaika Mollel, a Finnish-Tanzanian visual artist and designer from Vallila, Helsinki. In my work I blend influences from Finnish and Tanzanian cultural heritage in vibrant female figure paintings as well as jewellery and textiles inspired by them. My art explores femininity, dual identity and cultural encounters.

Program during Konstrundan

During Konstrundan, I open my studio in Vallila to visitors. I show new paintings, share and demonstrate my painting process, present jewellery and textiles, and am happy to talk about my art and its inspirations. Welcome to visit and connect!
