Information about the artist / the group

I am a photographer with deep roots in Ostrobothnia, also purely photographically. I want to highlight the Ostrobothnian landscape, its animal and plant life in my pictures.

I am born and raised in the village of Såka, Karleby, where I still live.

I have published 8 photo books, as well as had 66 photo exhibitions around the country between 2011-2026.

I have had articles published in the biggest nature photography magazines around the Nordic lands.

I have also given lectures in Denmark, Sweden and Finland.

I teach courses in nature photography.

Program during Konstrundan

I have an open house at my photo gallery Birtz Art Gallery in Såka/Karleby. There are many photo works hung there. I like to talk about my images and books, as well as exciting anecdotes about the photo moment itself. Also offers tips on photography. Guidings in Swedish, Finnish, English and Karleby dialect! The coffee pot is always hot!
