Information about the artist / the group

As a textile artist and designer, I explore the dialogue between art, craft, and industrial products. I am inspired by placing the new and the old, the broken and the whole side by side, and through fragmentation I seek to express depth and contradiction. Arte Povera and “junk art” are key influences in my work, which I combine with strong forms and bold colors.

I am also a designer and have created various interior textiles for several Finnish manufacturers, especially rugs and ryas. My playful mini-textile concept Reblok @myreblok, designed to be endlessly reconfigured for different spaces, can be ordered directly from me.
