Information about the artist / the group

Visual artist (BA) Saija Kannisto (formerly Candelin, born 1976) lives and works in Oulu. She creates versatile art using different techniques and materials. Alongside traditional painting techniques, wool painting, i.e. needle felting, and recycled art are also strongly present. Kannisto held her first art exhibition in 2006. In addition to numerous annual exhibitions, she works on commissioned works for companies and private homes. Kannisto's studio and artist home are located in Theodorinpuisto in western Tuira. Kannisto is inspired by life itself, with all its cracks and shades.
