Information about the artist / the group

I am a visual artist working in Karhusaari, Espoo. The historic surroundings of Karhusaari have been a source of peace and inspiration in my artistic practice since 2008. Painting has always been my closest form of expression. My works are expressive, semi-abstract, and layered both technically and conceptually. I aim to create an atmosphere in my paintings that invites the viewer to pause, reflect, and recognize something of themselves. I work with tempera and oil paints, while also experimenting with mixed media and digital techniques. I am fascinated by an ethereal expression and a silent dialogue between myself and the surrounding world through painting. Alongside my artistic work, I teach art in visual art schools.

Program during Konstrundan

Exhibition in Väentupa at the Horseman’s House on Karhusaari together with other Karhusaari artists participating in Konstrundan; Marja Maljonen, Susanna Suikkari, Horst Wein
