Information about the artist / the group

Maria Sundell is passionate about clay as a material and thinks a lot about sustainability: How can ceramic objects be created in a more ecological way? In the studio, there are, as an experiment, a number of objects on display that have been fired at low temperatures and coloured with plants. Otherwise, Maria mainly makes functional stoneware pieces, which will be for sale during Konstrundan.
Maria is a ceramic artisan and craftsperson in the ceramics field. She runs a ceramics studio called Leera in Ruskeasuo, Helsinki, together with Julia Aminoff‑Tatsis.

At Leera, our products will be on display and available for purchase. During the day, we will also be making products as a work demonstration.
