Information about the artist / the group

I am a visual artist based in Tampere, Finland, and I also work as an illustrator. At the moment, I mainly focus on acrylic painting. In my painting process, I explore presence, playfulness, and freedom from expectations of all kinds.

My artistic practice is intuitive, embodied, and grounded in an experiential process. In my paintings, expressive, atmosphere-building language and the layering of materials are central. They move on the boundary between abstraction and the recognizable, and they show the trace of making as well as an acceptance of imperfection and sensitivity. I paint with acrylics and also use mixed techniques such as embroidery, oil pastels, and other drawing materials.
