My work explores how images shape the ways we see, remember, and relate to the world. With a background in documentary photography, I have gradually moved toward a more conceptual and critical approach, examining how visual culture constructs ideas of nature, humanity, and otherness.
I am particularly interested in the histories that linger within images — the ways in which ethnographic and colonial representations continue to define our collective perception of the “Other.” Through this lens, I seek to understand how photography participates in systems of power, but also how it might open possibilities for re-seeing and re-imagining those relations.
