I am a creator of wearable art working with recycled textiles. My practice begins with old festive garments and clothing where pattern, surface, or material already carries a strong visual and emotional charge. I work in a material-driven way, allowing the garment’s history, wear, and details to guide form and expression. Alongside textiles, I incorporate recycled jewelry and other found materials as integral elements of the work.
My works exist at the intersection of art and wearability. They are hand-built, one-of-a-kind, and often three-dimensional, with a strong focus on color, texture, and rhythm. My practice is rooted in slow fashion thinking and a desire to challenge disposability, fixed functions, and conventional ideas of what clothing can be.
During Konstrundan, my studio is open to visitors. Recycled materials, tools, and finished as well as in-progress wearable art pieces are on display. In the studio, visitors can observe how textiles, jewelry, and details come together as cohesive works. I am happy to talk about my practice, the materials and their stories, and how a garment can function both as art and personal expression.
