Information about the artist / the group

My name is Anne Hautajoki, a ceramic artist based in Kirkkonummi and the founder of Vols Ceramic Studio. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Ceramics (Artenomi), and in my work I am particularly fascinated by the origins of materials and the fundamental nature of clay.

I have focused on the use of locally sourced raw materials in the production of clay bodies and glazes. My ceramics combine craftsmanship, thoughtful simplicity, and the inherent character of the material itself.

Vols Ceramic Studio is located in the idyllic surroundings of the Wohls Manor area, in the old village school building of Vols by the shores of Lake Humaljärvi (the artist community Vols Skola).
