Information about the artist / the group

Hello, my name is Annick, I am a Dutch artist living and working in Finland since the last 15 years. Currently I am mainly working with ceramics on the line between the functional and sculptural. Inspired by Finnish nature, I like to experiment by using local materials such as birch, of which the ash can be turned into a glaze, and granite rocks for texture.

Program during Konstrundan

During the weekend I am going to present the materials I use for making my ceramics from beginning to end. I will show for example how granite rocks change in the firing process, all the experiments I have done with it and how it looks on a finished piece. There will also be works for sale.
