Siiri Pohjolainen (b. 1979, Lahti) is a Helsinki-based visual artist and painter known for her expanded painting installations. She earned a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from the Academy of Fine Arts Helsinki in 2017 and graduated as a painter from the Free Art School in 2004.
Her pieces are held in several significant collections, including the State of Finland, the City of Tampere, and the Kone Foundation. Her artist studio is located at Huuto gallery space.
Her work explores the boundaries between different media, frequently combining painting with materials such as textiles, clay, stones, and found objects. Her practice is deeply rooted in phenomenology, exploring the structures of experience, symbolism, and metaphors.
