Heidi Hakkarainen (b. 1983) is a visual artist from Kuopio, Finland. She graduated as a visual artist from Kankaanpää Art School (BA, MA) and as a vocational teacher from Häme University of Applied Sciences. Hakkarainen has held several solo exhibitions and has participated in group exhibitions mainly in Finland.

Hakkarainen paints abstract works that are rooted in emotions and personal experiences. In addition, she creates installations and small-scale sculptures. She is fascinated by stories, worn surfaces, and chance. Melancholy is often present in the themes of her works; however, there is also something comforting and hopeful in her treatment of color and form.
