This year, Konstrundan opened the doors to 317 unique studios and creative spaces across Finland during the first weekend of September. A total of 473 artists, craftspeople, designers, and artist residencies participated, warmly welcoming the public. The event provided a platform for lively conversations, inspiring work demonstrations, and personal encounters, giving 35,000 visitors an intimate insight into the artists’ worlds and creative processes.
This is what participants told us when asked what they value most about Konstrundan:
“Exchanging thoughts with visitors and other artists.”
“Diversity, easy communication.”
“Every year it brings new visitors to my studio, and every year I have sold art to at least one person I had not previously met”
“The possibility of selling locally and building a network.”
“Connecting, having strangers visit your studio.”
The responses show that participants truly appreciate the opportunity to share their work with the public. Many artists describe the conversations and encounters with visitors as both valuable and inspiring.
